LOL! The kids have been full of funny stuff! Here's a little bit of it.



Bransen-

Has a half dead pet butterfly that he is talking to and playing with.



One day when I went to pick up Beau from school, he got into the car crying because a boy tripped him causing a big scrape down his leg. Bransen says, "Do you want you want me to take him out, because I will!?"



"Mom, I think I need a nose job because it's all stuffed up!"



Beau had called Bransen a "white boy" crying Bransen came running into me, "Mom, Beau just called me a white boy." I said, "Well, you are a white boy." He stomped out of the room, mad as could be.



"Nobody picks on my brother but me." Bransen referring to someone that had just been mean to Brevan.



One day on a long drive home, we were talking about choosing the right. Bransen pipes up and says, "---------- always chooses the left." He was referring to a little boy that we know.



Bransen graduated from Smart Stuff preschool and can't wait to go to kindergarten.

Baseball, Baseball and more Baseball

Beau-

Finished up his last few weeks of 4th grade. He is looking forward to Baseball and Summer! We bought him new shoes for the summer and they were a size 6 in mens. His feet are now as big as his moms.

I'm not sure why I didn't post this....It was in my drafts....hmmmm?

March & April

HAPPY BIRTHDAY BEAU!

I can't believe my beautiful baby boy is 10. He's a wonderful young man and loves life. He can't wait for summer and baseball and then 5th grade.


So it turned out after swolling the pill cam, they found Tobias had an ulcer in his small intestine. The doctor says it's caused by to much ibprofin. That 800 mg per day isn't a good idea. Which really sucks when you need it for your shoulder and elbow.

Just as we were finishing up all that, Tobias got an infected hair on his arm. No big deal right....wrong! This little infected hair turned into strep/mrsa infection. It had to be lanced and packed daily because of the infection. This also included no work and daily iv antibiotics for 10 days. Spending 2 hours nightly in the er really sucks! We were so happy when the doctor said he was in the clear and the infection was gone. He is a carrier for mrsa now and just have to keep an eye for these things in the future. Mid April Tobias also got a kidney stone. Let's hope this is all of his health issues. No more!

Bransen- On February 6 he lost his first tooth. I'm not sure how I forgot that. He's doing great at Ms. Tonya's and can't wait to graduate and go on to kindergarten. We got him all ready by pre-registering him and getting his shots. Now just waiting for August.

Brevan- Is so much fun! He is growing by leaps and bounds. He talks so much!

Me- I'm looking forward to our up coming trip to South Carolina.

January and February

I'm going to try and post at least once a month...we'll see.

In late December Tobias went to give blood, like he does every 56 days. He has done this for years with no problem. The lady said, "you can't donate today." "WHAT?" "You're anemic." "WHAT?" So he went down to the lab and had his blood drawn to see if anything else was low. He was anemic and his red blood cells were small.....whatever that means. Everything else was fine. After a week of vitamins with iron, his iron continued to drop. So we started out on a long journey to find the problem. He had a colonoscopy and a egd all in one day. Not to bad, except for the prep. Everything came back normal, no signs of bleeding, polyps, ulcers...nothing. So after that they decided to do a pill camera a couple of days later. It's pretty cool you where this pack that records 2 pictures every second, while this little pill is traveling through your system. It's the only way to look at your small intestines. Once again, nothing. They gave up on what else it could be and started him on iv iron once a month. We'll see how that goes. I have no idea what's next.

In February Bransen started walking around the house closing one eye(he would switch eyes) saying he was seeing 2 of me. Just thinking he was being his crazy funny self, I didn't think much of it. Then I started noticing that he was turning his head to the side to look straight. His one eye was pulled all the way into the center and wouldn't go back out. I took him to the eye doctor the next day. He is 200 farsighted...whatever that means. He now has adorable glasses and is doing so much better! Don't think that just because you and your spouse don't have glasses that your kids won't. We're 2 for 3 already.

In January Beau earned him religious knot in scouts. He can't wait to be a Webelos next month. He is so big and I can't believe he's almost 10. He is a wonderful friend, people tell me this all the time. Our neighbor boy has autism and his mom wrote me a beautiful note telling me how thankful she was for Beau's friendship and patience with her son. I'm so thankful for the kind and giving young man he is!

Brevan is trouble! He's almost 3 and talks nonstop! It's just been since about January that you can really understand what he's saying. We've had big problems with him saying "shut up" and "jerk." If you tell him no or take something away, he comes right back with 1 of the 2 words. It's hard not to laugh because it sounds so funny when he says it. I started putting him in his room for timeouts and that really seemed to help. He tells me funny things all the time like, "Just a minute ma" or "Just a second ma." He also told Tobias that he was "very naughty" for eating the last piece of licorice. He's very bossy and it's funny to see him yell at his brothers. He also loves his brothers tons! He always want to give hugs and kisses!

As for me....I'm just glad to be here. I've started a new chore system that really seems to be working and I'm teaching the boys to be independent. It always easier to just do it yourself but what do they learn...nothing.

Gingerbread House

Gingerbread House's have been a family tradition since around 1970. Every year the married women in my family, gather at my Grandma's house to make a gingerbread house. Until last year my Grandma would make the gingerbread pieces and we'd put them together with her amazing home made icing...as good as supper glue. This last year has been a tough one for all of us, as Grandma's mind health has began to fail. Everything we've ever known and loved are these traditions with our Grandma. In an effort to keep some of them going, we gathered this year at my house for gingerbread house day. It's fun to visit, eat lunch...and lots of candy! This takes hours by the way, after all we are professionals!

Pennsylvania

I had an amazing time on my trip to Pennsylivania! I met my mom and neice out there. They had just returned from Europe with my aunt and uncle that live in PA. We went to Washington DC, Gettysburg, the Apple Festival and Boyds Bears. I had such a good time! It was a lot of fun to hang out with my cousins, big and little!

Happy 5th Birthday Bransen

Happy birthday to my wild little Bransen! I can't believe that he's 5. We waited so long for him to join our family. He adds a lot of color to our lives! He is my comic relief in this crazy thing called life! We are so thankful for all the joy he brings to our lives! We love you Bransen, Happy Birthday!
